Federal Excise (11mL->20mL)

The new taxes brought in both federally and provincial are a disgrace. The government has never raised a pack of cigarettes by $6 overnight, so why did both governments do that for vape juice? A 20ml prefilled vape is now almost $15 in just tax, when all taxes are added up. I don't understand why the government would put such a cost on a product that offers harm reduction by 90% compared to cigarettes. It's like the government is helping their tobacco lobbyist buddies or something
