If you noticed in the first half of 2017, sub-ohm vaping became far more popular. This led to e-cigarette manufacturers building mods with much higher potential wattage, often coupled with tanks that allow for massive air flow. This was what cloud chasers wanted.
As we wind down to the end of the year and 2018 approaches, we've noticed that flavour seems to be a leading factor in how these companies are building e-cigarettes.
Let's go over 3 ways to improve the flavour-output during your vaping experience.
- Adjust Your Wattage.
Different flavourings vaporize at different temperatures. If you have a strawberry and banana e-liquid, you may find that the higher the wattage, the more you taste the strawberry. But if you keep the wattage low, you may only taste banana!
Start at the lowest wattage recommended for your coils. Then increase the wattage incrementally until you find the sweet-spot of the flavour you're vaping.
- Airflow can change the intensity of your flavour. While having a lot of air flow can give you a nice big cloud and lots of vapor production, it can dilute the taste of your e-liquid.
If you restrict the air flow you can experience a warmer and more intense vape.
Again, start with a fully open airflow then gradually close it until you find the sweet-spot. Don't restrict too much as you may end up with too much heat and no flavour at all when you inhale.
- Shorten the distance between your mouth and the e-liquid.
Believe it or not, the longer the distance of travel for the vapor, the less flavour there will be.
Reducing the length of your drip tip and decreasing the size of your tank can improve flavour of your e-liquid significantly. You will have to fill-up more often if you reduce your tank size, so make sure you truly want the extra flavour before switching it out.
